Yellowstone National Park Wolf Viewing Trip

The main purpose of this trip was to see wolfs in Yellowstone. Of the 14 days in Yellowstone, we saw wolfs 3 of those days. For most of the sightings the wolfs where out of range of our camera lens. But we had a spotting scope (20-60x - 80mm) that allowed us to view the wolfs as if they were only 100ft away. This is why there are only a few pictures of the wolfs and these do not show them very well.
To view the wolfs we had to leave the RV before dawn to get to Lamar Valley at dawn where the wolfs were. On some mornings the temperature was well below freezing and we would be viewing the wolfs for hours.
One day there were grizzly bears on a bison carcass with wolfs a small distance away waiting their turn and coyotes just beyond the wolfs waiting their turn. It was fun watching the bears, wolfs and coyotes all lined up waiting for the same carcass.
This was the best trip we ever made to Yellowstone for animal viewing. We saw more animals this trip then all the other trips combined. For the 14 days we spent at Yellowstone, we drove 1,200 miles inside the park.
